Outplacement has changed radically since we entered the business in 1991. Today, the old brick and mortar approach including group seminars and providing office space has been replaced with close phone and e-mail support for displaced employees. We have a history of getting re-employment results in very tight labor markets. We offer successful one on one career coaching at affordable rates.

We provide effective and confidential employment services in the form of outplacement as well as coaching individuals including: - direct contact with long standing and extensive employer data base, - resume writing and developing a presentation package, - interview coaching, - job campaign coaching, including company research, - developing an individual career plan, - coaching on making direct self-marketing calls to employers, - coaching on the effective use of the Internet, - complete personality assessment ensuring you are in the right career, - we use the world famous Myers-Briggs instrument, - everyone gets personal and individual attention.

Who We Are

Career Advancement Services is lead by Greg Norton who is a certified Career Development Facilitator (CDF), and a Certified Personnel Consultant (CPC).  Greg is the former Manager of Career Services at Chicago Commons Employment Training Center (a Mini One-Stop) where he led a team of employment specialists that met every placement quota from 1998 to 2003 despite the worse economic turn down since World War II.  Greg served as a working partner and headhunter at Sellers and Associates for seven years. He has taught Career Development classs at Westwood College. Our company has developed an extensive outplacement client list in many industries including Fortune 500 companies, mid-sized employers, and small firms.
